My dining room is right in the middle of our main floor and visible from everywhere, so it's currently high on the priority list of rooms to complete. It's taken me some time to decide what direction I want to go with it.
We bought a dining set when we moved in and it was very mid century modern - since then my style has changed a lot. The table and credenza we bought weren't cheap so I have to make them work. Luckily I got white Panton chairs as my dining chairs at the time, and decided to use them outside for deck furniture since we needed something anyways. I decided all this when I scored a sweet pair of chairs online (6 for 200$) which are currently being reupholstered in a neutral off-white fabric.
These were really the inspo to the entire room, and I'm hoping to make everything else work once I get them back. Anyways, here is a board of my current plans for our dining room.
We're making a floating sideboard and moving my existing to another room. I bought these amazing Fiona table lamps from Circa Lighting after seeing them in a issue of lonny mag - love! I found this wallpaper from Lowe's that looks like marble and plan to use it on a small portion of the wall - with skinny moulding around it - and possibly this beach print I bought from etsy (MyanSoffia)on top of it. The light is from West Elm and the fabric is almost identical to the sheer track curtains we have throughout the house. This is another option, just with my fav piece from Jessica Rae Sommer on the wall instead. Still deciding... I could put her everywhere!
Well, that's the plan! I'll post a few pics once things start coming together.
